The Newly Constructed Pool!

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

The long wait is finally over!  The dogs wagged their tails, cavorted all over the place, and drooled in excitement- as the pool completed its construction and was filled with fresh clean warm water.  Within thirty minutes of opening the pool to our beloved guests, it was muddy and murky.  Just another day in a dog’s life.

We have pictures and a short video clip for you to see why the dogs love our new pool!

For the concerned parents, we don’t allow diving and running (if they listen).

Howloween Fundraiser Results

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Many thanks to everyone who came and showed their support at our event on October 18th.  We had loads of fun meeting and socializing with the loyal customers.   We showed some short videos on Al Franken while the guests snacked on refreshments.  There was a bar too, selling beer, wines, and sodas, all profits going to the charities.  We also had a silent auction where the guests could browse through our stock of posters, pictures, and supplies.

Throughout the event, the curious parents could tour the facility; visiting the play areas (Red, Blue, and Orange rooms), green field, sleepover area, and the new pool.  Their dog were more excited about the areas and had plenty of fun playing with fellow canines.

Overall the fundraiser was a tremendous success, as we raised more than $850 for Al Franken (considering how close the race is now, with the recount!) and $250 for Paws for Purple Hearts.  We are still collecting more money from the auction, so the total money raised was more than one thousand dollars!  Many thanks to the generous guests who donated towards these charities.

Pool Days

Monday, September 8th, 2008

“The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco,” a famous quote formerly thought to be uttered by Mark Twain, remains true regardless of who said it.  That’s why we are constructing an indoor pool, complete with 4,000 gallons of heated water for the pooches to enjoy some watery fun all year-round.  Admittedly, we started this project about a year ago and we are still working on it, in all intents to make it perfect for our furry friends.  The dogs have been patient with us throughout the year and now they will be immensely rewarded for their cooperation in two weeks!  Below are the pictures of almost-completed pool.
